Dr. John Woodason is the founder and owner of TechTime. After eleven years as an Industrial Engineer and a twenty-year career in the public schools as a Technology Educator and administrator, Dr. Woodason envisioned a place where students who did not have an opportunity to learn practical skills could learn in a place equipped as well or better than any public school shop. TechTime also was envisioned as a place where the general public could come, design, and build their own creations in the evening while working by themselves or unwinding with friends in a casual environment, designing, making, or fixing projects.
Dr. Woodason earned his Bachelors degree in Industrial Technology Education in 1987 from Indiana State University, a Masters in Educational Leadership in 2003 from Wright State University, and a Doctorate of Education (Ed.D.) from Lipscomb University in 2017.
Dr. Woodason’s wife is Dr. Janna Woodason, who serves as the Director of the Solly School, the program for students with special needs at Lipscomb Academy, and she is available for consultation for any IEP or special education concerns with TechTime students.
